Rene Marie Russo is an American film actress and a ex-supermodel. Her elegant and beautiful beauty Marie can be seen in her lengthy career acting and performing. In the 70s, she started modeling which quickly made her a recognizable figure in the industry. She pursued studies in theatre and acting from the beginning of the decade, before starring on stages throughout Los Angeles, and other areas of California. in 1987 Russo was the lead character Eden Kendell in the drama ABC's Sable. A year later, she portrayed Tom Berengers love interest in her first film Major League. Her consistency won the praise of those who were hesitant about her acting skills. Her performance in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak was a favorite of the critics as she stood tall against Dustin Hoffman or Morgan Freeman. The actress admits to being not a fan of acting. She took a self-imposed long break in the year 2005. After that, she made her return as a part of the superhero flick Thor. In addition, she appeared in the Oscar award-winning film Nightcrawler which was directed by her husband. The Intern was her first comical comedy. The actress went on to be on Just Getting Started and other comedies.
Rose Namajunas has been one of UFC's most prominent female athletes. She began as an amateur fighter who participated in regional competitions, before signing up with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she entered in the Ultimate Fighting Championships. Since her joining of the UFC her name has grown into known as a household name because of her accomplishments both inside and out of the Octagon. Namajunas, a Lithuanian-immigrant, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose was a basketball player and kickboxing throughout her growing to maturity. At 18 years old she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships where she won two fights through submission. This caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to join the UFC the strawweight division in December of 2014 when she was only 22. Through Rose's professional career, she's been through periods of extremes and lows, but every times she has come out ahead. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 to win the Women's Strawweight Champion. She won the fight by technical knockout within 3 minutes of the first round. It was the first occasion that a female fighter competed in a title fight with any major promotion worldwide. Namajunas then went on to win several other fights. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, which earned her Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
